Neurodiversity

Neurodiversity is a concept that recognises and respects the natural variation in human brains and neurological differences. It acknowledges that people have diverse ways of thinking, learning, and experiencing the world. The term encompasses conditions such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, Tourette syndrome, and others.

Rather than viewing neurodivergent traits as inherently pathological or needing to be "fixed," the neurodiversity paradigm celebrates these differences as valuable and essential aspects of human diversity. It emphasizes the idea that neurological differences are just that differences, not necessarily deficits. Like ROKIL, Advocates of neurodiversity  believe in creating inclusive environments that accommodate and value these differences, fostering acceptance, support, and opportunities for individuals with diverse neurological profiles to thrive and contribute to society in their unique ways.

The focus is on recognising strengths, talents, and perspectives that neurodivergent individuals bring, promoting acceptance, and advocating for equal rights and opportunities.
